NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF ELECTION

The Town of Garden City’s regular municipal election scheduled for November 3, 2026, has been canceled because there are no more candidates than offices to be filled.

The following candidates have been declared elected:

Filbert Archuleta — Mayor, two-year term

Leigh Sorensen — Trustee, four-year term

Rebecca Moreau — Trustee, four-year term

This cancellation was made pursuant to C.R.S. § 31-10-507, Town of Garden City Ordinance No. 05-2020, and Resolution No. 13-2026.

The Garden City Board of Trustees consists of the Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem and five Trustees. The Board meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month with the exception of December. The Board will meet on the second Tuesday of December only (subject to change). Sometimes holidays or other events may necessitate a change to the Board Meeting date. Please call the Town Hall or check this website to confirm.

Regular meetings start at 5:30 PM and are open to the public. Agendas for the meetings are posted on the marquee on the west side of the building, are available in the Clerk’s Office, or are listed under Agendas and Minutes. 

Occasionally, there is a need for a special meeting of the Board of Trustees and those meetings are posted on the marquee, the front door of the Town Hall and on this web site.
